When we bought our house we didn’t realize how hard it would be to find a contractor to do our remodel. Apparently everyone is doing the same thing! Ugh! We literally had like 3 or 4 different ones come out to give us bids and they all were too busy to tackle our project or couldn’t start till the new year. The one we finally went with couldn’t start till like Thanksgiving and that was the earliest one! It was Sept when we got the keys to our house. We are pretty impatient people, so we decided to just start the demo ourselves in our spare time. We ended up tearing out all the carpet, tile, cupboards, tubs, door jambs and whatever else we felt comfortable doing ourselves.
Seems like we just kept doing more and more before we finally got to turn it over to the professionals. But I will say it was kind of fun ripping things apart, I did enjoy it to a point, but after so many weeks of hard manual labor we were exhausted and we gladly took a step back and let them do their thing!! I can’t tell you how excited I was for this part!! In the next few weeks I will be posting all about the transformations! All the hard work, stress and even a few tears are all over with and I am thrilled with the way things turned out!!
