It Takes a Village

Yesterday the Honeymooners were finally home from their fun Mexican getaway and ready to face reality.  But Before they totally had to come back down to reality they got to open all of their gifts/cards from their wedding. I am so thankful for the tradition of letting us parents go and watch this happen and to be able to be a part of it.

As I was sitting there watching them open up all their gifts I was overwhelmed by all the love, support and generosity that was poured upon these two, What was so awesome about it was that most of the love and support came from people who have been there to help love and support our kids from day one, or at different times and stages in their lives. They say that it takes a village to raise a child and no other statement is truer than that one. Some were even from people from our very own villages growing up. I am so thankful for you all.

I know that Haden and Kaiti will send out Thank You cards and let you all know how thankful they are, but I wanted to personally thank my friends and family as well as Kaiti’s friends and family for everything you have done for them so far. I know that their lives have been and will continue to be blessed by the force of not only one village but now of two villages who will continue to help, love and support these two.

It takes a lot to get everything you need to be on your own. But with the help of all of you these two are going to be just fine, and for that I will always be grateful! XOXO
