So It’s been awhile since I’ve changed the message on my board and with Valentine’s Day just around the corner I thought what better time to change it. There were just too many long and mushy love quotes to sift through, and nothing that I wanted to look at for weeks on end, because let’s be honest, I don’t get around to changing this thing quite as often as I should. When I stumbled upon this one, I knew it was the one, Because what we all really want and need in this life is love, there really is no truer statement. I know I would be nothing without the love of my husband, kids, family and friends. But if I didn’t have Chocolate in my life too… I don’t think I could survive! I should change “every now and then”, to every day if I’m being real here… and then there would be no truer statement in my life! LOL
I know for some Valentine’s Day is just a commercialized holiday and don’t want to be forced or feel pressured to show someone they love them. I totally get that. But I like to think of it as a day to remember those who mean the world to you, yes we should be showing them everyday, not just on a given holiday. I am not saying go out and spend hundreds of dollars on the people you love either. Maybe just take a little time out this week to send a short email, text or even a simple piece of chocolate to let them know you are thinking of them.
