This was our last day, I had high hopes of getting a repeat of yesterday. I woke up and put my suit on and headed downstairs to check things out. I looked out our balcony before and it looked a little cloudy but I was in denial I think. By the time we made it down to the lobby, it was pouring rain!
So we headed back up to our room to change. We all kind of went off and did our own thing that day. Tony and Shannon wanted to go see a movie so we tagged along with them. We took a Taxi to the mall and did some more shopping, believe it or not I ended up buying a hoodie and a beanie that day, that just shows you how cold it was! UGH!
We ended up seeing the Movie Glass, which was good but probably would have been better had we seen the other two movies first! lol!
I can’t believe I am saying this but I was getting burned out on all the shopping, I just really wanted more beach time. But all in all it was a great trip.
I learned that apparently I look hispanic. I got multiple people asking me if i spoke Spanish and had about three or four different occasions where they just started speaking it me,and I had to let them know I didn’t speak Spanish and they were always shocked. Then they would say You must have some hispanic blood in you. Very interesting, because I always thought my dad looked Mexican, but after doing his DNA testing, we know for certain he is not, but whatever it is we have “the look”. That was kind of fun 🙂 but it may just be the fact that I was hanging around all blondes! LOL I have noticed that most of my friends are blonde, I am always the odd one out.
I also learned that good weather isn’t everything… Anytime I can spend quality time with Doug, it’s a good time. It was also fun to meet new friends, the older you get the harder it is to make friends and it is always fun when you can meet people you have so much in common with and can spend a whole week with without wanting to kill them LOL and I got to see and do things that I have never seen or done before which made for some fantastic memories that I won’t soon forget.
I think the bad weather was just the universe’s way of telling me I need to come back to Cancun to experience what It should have been, Sunny and Hot!! It reminds me of the first time I went to Hawaii… same thing happened, it rained almost every single day and I was so cold, I had to go back because I didn’t really get to experience true Hawaii… So Looks like I will just have to come back again someday! 😉 And I’m totally down with giving Cancun another try 🙂 Until next time…
Highlights of all the good times we had this past week, I sure love spending time with my best friend!!
We woke up the next day it was Pouring rain again, our driver was picking us at 11:30 to take us to the airport and I will say that I am very happy that it was raining, because I would have had a really hard time getting on that plane had it been a really sunny day! 😛
