This year for Valentines Day we decided to celebrate the night before because Doug had a big day at work on the actual day. Instead of going out and fight the crowds of everyone else and their dog who were doing the same thing as us, we decided to stay in and make dinner at home. We went to Costco and bought us some Huge rib eye steaks. Believe it or not when it comes to food, I am like a man… give me some meat and potatoes and I am a happy girl. We also almost every year tell each other to not give each other a gift because let’s be honest it’s more fun to receive a gift when it’s not expected. Then the closer it gets I have a hard time not getting Doug something because He is my Valentine and I want him to know how much I love him! So I May have caved and bought him Some wireless earphones he’s been eyeing… Tuesday night Doug came home with some flowers, gum, sugar babies and these YUMMY frosted Brownies from Meier’s Meats and Fine Foods in Highland, which if you haven’t tried these before you are missing out! In fact I don’t think I have tried a treat from there that I haven’t liked yet, It really should be called Meier’s Meats and Fine treats! My Man knows me very well and I am glad he didn’t listen to our no gifts again this year, it doesn’t always have to be some huge elaborate gift, just a little something to let me know he was thinking of me. LOL
It may have been a low-key Valentines Day, but it doesn’t take much to make me happy and to be honest, Doug spoils me, everyday is like Valentines Day for me! 🙂 I am not sure how I got so lucky!
