We had Another fun and successful Halloween last night, yesterday I said that this is our last year of us doing our hot dog tradition and I am still sticking to that, but It was a bitter-sweet night knowing that this was the end of a tradition and we really will miss hanging out and mingling with our friends, family and neighbors, you guys are the reason we had the hardest time making the decision to stop, but all good things need to come to an end. Doug and I are ready to make a new tradition, not sure yet what that means, but hopefully one where we can relax a bit, but still get to enjoy our family and friends at the same time, we love spending quality time with everyone!
It sure has gotten hard to figure out what to be over the years, this year knowing it was our last we figured why not be Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus and really mess with the little kids! LOL We were a little afraid of what some of the really young ones would think, Doug sure had fun getting some of their Christmas wishes and promising them if they were good they would get them!( I sure hope the parents were listening) I also found that most of the older kids were extra respectful this year, I think being Santa has some perks, but a few little ones wouldn’t even look at Doug, I forgot Santa is scary to a lot of kids too, so we totally did our job being scary to some last night too! Thanks again for all who came and for those who actually make an effort and drive over to be with us, we really appreciate it!
Here are some of the pictures I took last night, I have a hard time remembering to take pictures, while trying to talk to everyone and make sure everyone gets a hot dog or candy or hot chocolate so I apologize for not getting everyone.
We ended up handing out around 150 hot dogs and 8 gallons of hot chocolate!!! Good Times!!
