Our next stop was Mazatlán. I’ve never been there before but I had read that it isn’t the best port? We decided it would be a good day to do some beach time. We found an excursion that took us to a resort that had both beach and pool access, at the El Cid Marina Beach Club. Carnival had two different excursions that went to the same place one was all inclusive and one was open bar. We chose the open bar because it was cheaper and you could order food if you wanted which would probably cost less than if you did the buffet option, we were glad we chose the cheaper option, we didn’t feel like we missed out at all, And we could drink all the fun fruity drinks our hearts desired!! We chose the furthest pool which supposedly didn’t have heated water, but it wasn’t super hot so we knew we weren’t getting in! It didn’t feel very crowded at all and the waiters took very good care of us, I definitely feel like we got our money’s worth.
We ended up staying at the pools because the weather was a little bit chilly and it would of been even cooler down by the beach. It was about a 30 to 40 minute drive, but the drive didn’t feel as long as I thought it would.

That last picture made me laugh, It looks like I have a mustache, totally not taken on purpose! LOL

All in all it was a nice, beautiful relaxing day, only bummer was it wasn’t nearly long enough and could of been at least another 10 degrees warmer, but at this point we will take what we can get!!
Our next stop… Cabo San Lucas!!
