New Orleans (Day 4)

Remember my embarrassing fall after seeing that Camel yesterday? Well I woke up SOOO sore, not everywhere sore, but specifically on my right side rib/chest area, it hurt even just to breath!!I felt super tired too, could be the result of doing too much yesterday, yup I am feeling old… but I am going to blame it mostly on just being super sore from the fall. I was so tired that I decided to take it easy and sleep most of the day and relax in the room while Doug did what he needed to do with the Conference.  As the day went on it seemed to get worse. So when Doug got back we headed to the store to get me some Advil and some dinner. We decided to Check out the Royal House Oyster Bar. It had great reviews and Doug loves Oysters and Crab and all things fishy,  I wont eat anything that swims in the ocean so he doesn’t get to eat it as much as he would like, So we decided we should go somewhere he could enjoy.

Doug ordered the Oyster Duo which had both Rockefeller and Oysters Royale and the Taste of New Orleans. The taste of New Orleans is a sampling of the city’s most famous dishes: Chicken & Andouille Jambalaya, Crawfish Etouffée and Chicken Andouille Gumbo. I decided to try a Po-Boy sandwich because these are offered everywhere in New Orleans I figured I better try one. I got the Roast Beef one and it was pretty good… But Doug’s from Mother’s Was WAY better just FYI!

After dinner we decided to burn off our dinner by taking a walk down Bourbon Street. We heard a live band that was playing some fun 80’s and 90’s music so we stepped inside and sat and watched them play and people watch for a few hours, Bourbon Street is a very good place to people watch, one of my favorite pastimes! LOL! The Band was called the Phunky Monkeys they are really good! If you are ever on Bourbon Street I would suggest checking them out, the best free Entertainment there! you can catch them at Club Razzoo they played all sorts of music from hip hop, rap, 80’s, 90’s and more! I loved it!

Kind of a slow day, but I needed a little day of rest 🙂
