Last week my sister-in-law Kelly and I met up with my Sister Nancy on her lunch break for lunch. Kelly suggested we meet at MidiCi Pizza. I have never even heard of it before, It is a new Pizza place over by the University Mall in Orem. I was pretty excited to try it out because I am always getting burnt out on my usual choices, so something different sounded fun. Also I love me a good Pizza. On their website they pride themselves as being true Neapolitan pizza makers. what does that even mean? I wondered. Well according to them it means this, “We meet rigorous gastronomic rules to serve authentic Neapolitan Pizza, famous for its chewy and crisp dough topped with all-natural ingredients, all baked to perfection in 90 seconds. Staying true to Neapolitan heritage, our dough is made with only four fine ingredients – non-GMO double zero flour imported from Naples, pure water, sea salt and live yeast. The authentic and pure garnishes include – crushed non-GMO Italian peeled tomatoes, fresh whole mozzarella and non-GMO, Italian extra virgin cold-pressed olive oil.” Who knew that was even a thing? I mean have you ever even heard of double zero flour before?? All of it sounds so fancy and good for you! I mean I will eat a Little Caesars Pizza any day of the week and think that’s a pretty darn good Pizza, but the price and convenience of it may be talking when I say that! 😛 So ya I was pretty excited to try it! Well me being a total Un-adventurous person just ordered the pepperoni pizza actually it was called the double pepperoni and it had a star next to it saying it was a best seller so I figured I am not the only one who is boring 😛
Thin crust is my favorite type of Pizza, just look at how yummy that looks! I really liked this pizza my only issue was the pepperoni were just a little too spicy for my liking. But If there is too much pepper on my food I think it’s too spicy too so for my bland taste buds it was just too much. And I would have liked to have my pepperoni to be a little bit crisper. Next time I go I will try another Pizza without pepperonis I am sure I will love it because the crust and the fresh mozzarella cheese was to die for!
We got their around 11:30 and we were pretty much the only ones in the place. I guess that is a little early to eat pizza for most people. The place was super clean and new feeling and the pizza oven’s looked amazing… very fancy! They even had a live Olive tree planted right in the middle of the restaurant, super cool, But my favorite feature had to be these hangers they had on all of the tables so you could hang your purse. Such a small thing but a very cool idea and I really loved it, wish everyone would do that!
Well there you have it, If you are like me and get tired of the same ol same ol, give MidiCi Pizza a try, If not for the food at least for the nice Italian atmosphere, they even had Italian Gelato which I still to this day have never tried, so I need to go back to give it a try too!
