Nashville Part 2

The next Day Lucie didn’t feel very good so Doug and I were on our own that day. We started our day off eating at a little place called The Hampton Social. It was so cute and we had some of the best food on our whole trip there. Doug got a $35 Lobster Roll sandwich and he said it was worth every penny, I got a yummy chicken sandwich that had sliced apples on it, which normally I would think is too weird, but man it tasted good!

After we ate we headed over to the bridge and went across it to check out the
Titans football stadium. That was super cool to see. Josh has been a Titan fan his whole life so we had to go and take pictures for him.

That night we had a PA’s night out block party! ( with Doug’s PA conference he attended) We got VIP tickets to get into Miranda Lambert’s Casa Rosa, Luke Bryan’s Luke’s 32 Bridge, Aldean’s Kitchen & Bar, Wanna B’s Karaoke Bar, Tequila Cowboy, and FGL House. I decided to dress the part and put on my cowboy hat and boots! YEE HAW!

The first place we went had a special concert that only the VIP people got to go to, it was a concert with Charles Esten ( Cameron Ward from Outer banks) Who knew he was a singer??? I sure didn’t! He was actually pretty good too!

We stayed there for a while then decided to check out all the other places. We had a great night!

Every bar was crazy crowded but somehow we found this guy and nobody was even there so we had a private concert, we even slow danced to our very own private concert. So fun!

The next day Lucie was feeling better and we had a Hop on Hop Off tour planned for that day. It was cool seeing all the recording studio’s and hear all the history of so many music greats! Also was a nice relaxing way to see Nashville. We hopped off back at The Gulch to get Pictures at the famous angel wings mural which had a line around the block for the other day, but today we walked right up to it! So my suggestion would be to check that out on the week day not the weekend!! We also ate a a place called Milk & Honey which had almost a 2 hour wait when we tried over the weekend but was able to walk right into this time, but we all agreed it was SOOOOO not worth the hype, some of our worst food of the trip, this place had a 4.8 on yelp? Not sure why? So if you were to ask us, we don’t recommend this place at all!
I also discovered Goo Goo Clusters! I grew up in California and I know they had these, I can remember seeing them in the candy isle, but I never paid any attention to them, I thought they looked weird or yucky so I have never tried one before, apparently Goo Goo Cluster’s are Nashville’s official candy, well I bought one and it was Delicious! I really didn’t need to know about another yummy treat! I think I ate 3 or 4 of them when I was there and brought back 4 and sadly they are all gone now! Yep they are that good! LOL luckily I haven’t seen them here in Utah, so I think I am safe!

That night we had tickets to The Grand Ole Opry!! I mean you cant go to Nashville and Not check that out! We had no clue who would be preforming when we booked the tickets, it ended up being “Salute the Troops” night artists John Conlee, The Oak Ridge Boys as well as Jason Crabb, LOCASH and The War and Treaty, the husband and wife duo of U.S. Army veteran Michael Trotter and Tanya Blount preformed, I didn’t plan on enjoying this as much as I did, and I also didn’t plan on crying as much as I did! It was an amazing night! I am so glad we went! And the Oak Ridge boys, some had to be helped out to the stage but they still can sing like no other! It was very impressive!! After we headed back to Greg and Lucie’s hotel to check out the view from the top of the JW Marriot!

This post is getting super long I guess there will be a part 3!!
