Tinkle Razors

Ok today I am going to talk about facial hair. Most of us women are covered in unwanted little fuzzy hairs all over our faces, well unless of course you are one of the lucky ones, but for the rest of us, it’s a real bummer. I have always hated my fuzzy face, but was always too scared to do anything about. It wasn’t til about 7 or 8 years ago when I decided to finally do something about it. I was watching the Housewives of New Jersey when Caroline Manzo showed all of America that she shaves her face everyday!

See Previously to seeing that I had thought of doing it but I always got scared of the old Myth, If you shave your face it will grow back thicker and darker! Seeing her do that finally gave me the courage to try it! I can’t tell you how awesome my face felt that first time, It was the smoothest my face has ever felt and the make-up just glided on! I of course have tried to keep this little tidbit to myself, in fact today might be the first Time Doug hears about this!

I would like to clear up the myth a bit, If you think your hair grows back thicker and blacker because of shaving it off, then why in the world wouldn’t every balding man in the world just start shaving his head? Just think about that for a second people, because in theory it would grow back thicker and blacker right? I mean Doug has been shaving his head for 20 plus years I would think his head would be the thickest blackest hair on the planet by now if that was the case! The reason your facial hair may feel a little thicker when it grows back is because it has been shaved and will grow back with a blunt edge which makes it feel thicker, I assure you it isn’t.

Another benefit of shaving your face is the exfoliation properties. Caroline Manzo actually said the only reason she shaves her face was for the exfoliation properties. Have you ever been to the dermatologist or spa where they offer  Dermaplaning treatments? They literally are just shaving your face with a razor which shaves off not only a the surface dead skin it is also shaving your peach fuzz too! So I figure if people are paying to have their faces professionally shaved I see no reason why I cant do this myself at home. While I know the razors they use are surgical ones and much more intense than anything I could be using at home, there still has to be some exfoliation properties happening  when shaving which in turn is supposed to bring out younger looking skin, and who doesn’t want that? So that my friends this is why I shave my face!

When I first started shaving  my face I just used a regular men’s razor, but recently I have discovered the Tinkle Razor which is a razor designed specifically for women to shape their eyebrows. It says right on the package “Tinkle Eyebrow Razor removes the fine hairs of the eyebrow, neck and face as well as unnecessary hairs elsewhere. It features a stainless steel safety cover attached to each blade to protect a woman’s sensitive skin and prevent blade from cutting too closely while shaving; even beginners can easily and safely use it.” I love these! It makes me not feel so much like a man shaving my face but more like a woman doing some dermaplaning, sounds so much better right?

If you are bugged by facial hair or just want to experience the benefits of exfoliating your skin, I would suggest giving these a try!

Now my only question is… Why the name Tinkle??
